Doctors are annoying

So, I called the endocrinologist about the episodes with my blood sugars, and they basically told me that it is not that big of a deal, because my sugars did not drop below 60. They told me to keep taking the medication. I tried again yesterday, I took half a pill, ate my lunch, went for a bike ride with my hubby and the dog, and by the time I got home, an hour after eating, my blood sugars were down to 66. Luckily, we were home, I had decided to make the biking trip a bit shorter than normal, because I felt something was not right, and I went in the house and laid down. I also had a snack, because it was snack time. The nurse that I talked to at the endocrinologists told me that I shouldn't eat anything extra unless my sugar levels drop below 60. I asked if that meant that I was to go through the rest of my pregnancy on the couch, because I am taking the medication, and she said that I shouldn't do that, and we could always switch to insulin. Needless to say it was not what I wanted to hear, and just made me angry. She also said that the dizziness must be from something else in my body, and not the medication, so to call my Ob-gyn. Funny thing though...I only experience this after taking the medication. I called him, but they wouldn't let me talk to him directly. Supposedly he had already left. The nurse that they had me talk to was no help, and I was just frustrated by the whole process. To top off my evening, we wanted to go swimming, because I had found a maternity suit that fit, but I wanted to take the dog to the lake with us... there were no lakes that we could find that allowed dogs on the beach or in the water. It is a lake, not a swimming pool!!!!! All in all a very frustrating afternoon/evening. My wonderful husband did try to make my night better, by making me a delicious supper that was within the diet restrictions! I'm supposed to get a call from the Ob-gyn this morning, but I have not heard from him as of yet, and it is almost 10 A.M. already. We'll see what happens. I'll keep you posted!
